Homemade Slow Cooker Chicken Broth is flavorful, easy, and convenient! This recipe gives you a head-start on amazing homemade soup recipes and weeknight meals of all sorts.
With basic recipes such as these, many people ask me: “is it really worth the hassle to make it homemade?”
For me, the answer is definitely “yes”- for a few reasons! 🙂
First of all, I love knowing exactly what’s in my broth! None of the chemicals, extra sodium, sugars, and preservatives that are hiding in most store bought options.
Packed with health benefits and delicious full flavor, this homemade slow cooker chicken broth is a great choice for busy families!
The second reason that I love making this homemade chicken broth recipe is the “set it and leave it” aspect of using a slow cooker! It takes away the hassle of watching a pot on the stove or feeling tied down for hours at a time.

- 2 tsp Garlic Powder

Instructions
- After removing meat from rotisserie chicken, place bones, skins, and scraps in slow cooker.

Here are some of the ways that I love using my slow cooker chicken broth:
- Using broth instead of plain water to make flavorful rice
- Add a little gluten free flour and heat to make a delicious brown gravy to go with mashed potatoes, roasted chicken or vegetables
- Using it as the base in all sorts of soups
