Hi Alice! I haven’t tried other substitutes for dates in this recipe, so I’m not sure what the ratios would be… but you could try! Their primary purpose is natural sweetness, so you could try using a little coconut sugar, honey, or maple (or a little of each)- although the dense texture of the dates will be tricky to duplicate… goodluck! 🙂
